As we journey through life, we are constantly seeking happiness, security, health, and a sense of fulfillment. In 1 John 4:8, we are reminded that “God is love.” Love is not just a feeling; it is a state of being, an inner force that connects all creation. Unity principles teach us that we are all interconnected, and as we begin to embrace our oneness with God and with one another, we tap into a wellspring of inner peace and security.
A Course of Love emphasizes that we are not separate from God; we are divine beings, made in the image and likeness of God. This understanding shifts our perception of the world, guiding us to respond to life with compassion and trust rather than fear and separation. We no longer need to chase after external sources of validation because we know that the love of God is always within us, guiding and encouraging us to our higher good.

In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are urged, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This scripture highlights the importance of surrendering our limited human understanding to the divine wisdom that guides us.
