We are faced with a difficult and challenging world. The world is demanding answers, strategies and plans to right the wrongs that are being brought to our attention. What do we do? How do we correct injustices? What is the highest and best solution to these challenges that confront us? Who do I listen to?
Once again there is a spiritual answer to each challenge we face. The prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 2:22 tells us “Cease from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Jesus shares his advice in Matt. 6:33 to seek first the Kingdom of God (within you) and all these things will be added unto you.
Some of the greatest minds in history have been attempting to solve the problems we are now facing in our culture for centuries. The mess appears to get worse. This is a clear indication to me that man does not have the answers. This is what the prophet was telling us thousands of years ago. Man, with breath in his nostrils has too many agendas, too many schemes, too many manipulations to come up with a simple answer for our highest and best good.
Again, our master teacher, Jesus the Christ, advises us to seek the Kingdom within us by entering into our inner chamber and locking the door and praying to our Father in secret who will reward us openly. Notice that he doesn’t say to speak it loudly or discuss it, or figure it out, or legislate it, or vote on it, or publish it in articles. He says to quietly, in secret prayer times, seek the energy of the Christ within us and the problems solve themselves.
Those on a spiritual path are growing into an understanding that there are subtle energies present in the Universe that operate in dimensions beyond the 3-dimensional world that we inhabit. These are the dimensions of Spirit that are accessed by contacting the Kingdom within us. We do this through contemplative prayer and meditation. There is nothing to do but know that God is at hand and all is well. We know that these spiritual ideas were the base of the Master Jesus messages to us.
Man does not have the answers. We are learning to rely on the Kingdom within each of us, knowing that miracles are possible. We can live in a world of peace, joy, happiness and abundance for all when we learn to listen to our hearts and our God within. We are back to the simple process of let go and let God and pray a lot to back that up.
