In the first lesson of Emilie Cady’s “Lessons in Truth”, paragraph 9 it says: “Each person must sooner or later learn to stand alone with their God; nothing else avails. Nothing else will ever make you master of your own destiny”.
A definition for master is: a skilled practitioner of an art or activity. So, I believe she is telling us that sooner or later we need to wake up to our divine potential as an expression of God and trust that Spirit to guide us, nurture us, and support us in our life’s journey. We are to become a master at trusting Divinity to provide the necessities of life.
When we make this conscious choice, we must stand alone with God knowing that all is well. We must hold the faith that our good is manifesting and not allow negative thoughts and fears to take over our belief system.
Our motto becomes: God is in charge and all is well.
Jesus says in Matt. 6:33 “But seek you first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Llamsa translation). I believe Jesus is telling us here to become masters of faith and trust in the indwelling Christ. Become an absolute believer in trusting God to heal, prosper, nurture and love each of us without any conditions. We are the beloved of the Universe in all ways. By making the choice to trust Spirit to provide for us makes us master of our own destiny.
